See You Soon
I kept coming that way again
Everytime on a false pretense
Hoping I might bump into you
Or atleast watch you pass thence
From across the other side of road
And if your glance fell on me
I’d probably act unfamiliar
And while you’ve walked a distance from me
I’d turn around and scan you through
To take pride in admiring you.
In actual fact
If you ever crossed my road
I would pretend, I never hoped
Like a flower awaiting sunshine
I’d smile and wave at you
I’d ask “How have you been!”
And act surprised at your appearance
Then quietly I would place
My charm inside of you
So, it’s not just me
But you are dreaming of me too.
